Environmental Remediation and Total Demolition Overview
The Hughes/Raytheon project consisted of asbestos abatement, demolition, and site clearing of 34 industrial manufacturing buildings. The project scope included:
- Asbestos abatement, demolition, and site clearing of 270 acres (approximately 2.5 million square feet of buildings)
- Asbestos abatement of 600,000 square feet of roofing, 15,000 linear feet of pipe insulation, 500,000 square feet of floor tiles, 1,000 linear feet of window caulking, and 8,000 square feet of boiler insulation
- Removal of PCB, Mercury, CFC, and other hazardous materials
